Job Description
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Keep track of the movement of assets and asset allocations.
- Maintain and update asset register regularly.
- Capturing and reporting on the lifespan of assets.
- Perform year-end activities in terms of computerized systems.
- Liaise with regions on asset management activities and monitor control of assets and tools.
- Maintain the regional tool register and perform monthly tool inspections and submit report to Asset Manager.
- Perform quarterly asset verifications.
- Make follow-up on missing assets to ensure that they are accounted for.
- Assist auditors with compliance to audit requirements.
- Maintain asset & Inventory management Standard Operation Procedures and practices.
- Ensure recording and bar coding of assets.
- Submit disposal report for redundant or obsolete assets and fleet as and when required in line with policies and procedures, to Asset Manager.
- Complete insurance claims, submit them to the short-term insurers, and follow up on outstanding insurance claims.
- Keep and update the insurance claims register.
- Monitor the procurement of assets and ensure the barcoding and recording.
- Monitor the control of inventory and monthly stock take process in the region.
- Ensure that inventory variance reports are submitted to Asset Manager as per standard operating procedures.
- Submit monthly inventory reports to Asset Manager.
- Assist in preparation of the operating budget and projections.
- Compile and submit quarterly asset verification and condition assessment reports to the Asset Manager.
- Issue communication equipment and administration of communication devices.
- Perform any other additional functions as per operational requirements as and when required.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- National Diploma/B.Tech/Degree in Supply Chain Management/Business Management or Public Management.
- Minimum of 3 years’ asset management experience.
- Knowledge of PFMA.
- Computer literacy in MS Word systems.
- Valid driver’s license.
