KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:  

• Troubleshoot and diagnose IT systems, peripherals and network issues.
• Resolve helpdesk queries.
• Training of Vaal Central Water personnel on utilised programs, new technologies, best practices and cyber security.
• Create knowledge base.
• Document IT issues, resolutions and systems configurations.
• Responsible for hardware and software support and maintenance.
• Evaluate, test and ensure compatibility and capability of hardware and software within Vaal Central Water systems.
• Provide remote and onsite support for all systems and hardware.
• Configure mobile devices.
• Troubleshoot IT systems, network and maintenance, including VOIP system management.
• Maintain IT inventory.
• Assist users with data recovery.
• Monitor systems performance and network activities.
• Ensure compliance with the IT policies and Occupational Health and Safety Act.
• Work with vendors to resolve technical issues.
• Attend to all assignments as directed from time to time.

 MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• National Diploma in IT or equivalent qualification.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in IT.
• Experience in desktop support.
• Experience in Microsoft products (Office/Office 365, Outlook, Windows 11 and lower).
• Experience in troubleshooting IT hardware and software issues.
• Experience in first- and second-line support.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Report writing skills.
• Problem Solving Skills.
